TOTTENHAM 2-2 EVERTON Victor Anichebe played full time in the battle for Champions League spot between his team and Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. NEWCASTLE 1-0 FULHAM Shola Ameobi was a 69th minute substitute for French winger, Yohann Gouffran. Pappis Cisse scored the only goal of the game as Newcastle try to evade relegation. CHELSEA 2-1 SUNDERLAND Paolo Di Canio’s reign as Sunderland coach started with a loss as Mikel Obi marshalled Chelsea’s midfield for 90 minutes of play but Victor Moses didn’t even make the bench. Branislav Ivanovic scored the winner after own-goals were scored at both ends. QPR 1-1 WIGAN Nedum Onuoha started the game on the bench but was called into action when his team was reduced to ten men after Bobby Zamora was sent for an early bath. Loic Remy thought he had scored the winner for Rangers until Shaun Maloney popped up to curl a free kick past Julio Cesar right at the end. WEST BROM 1-2 ARSENAL Coach Steve Clarke left Peter Odemwingie out of the West Brom squad that faced Arsenal on Saturday. Arsenal kept their hopes of a fourth place finish with a 2-1 win, Tomas Rosicky scored both goals. German defender, Per Mertesacker was given a straight red for hacking down Shane Long in the area; James Morrison scored the resulting penalty.
