Super Eagles Drop in Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria dropped one place in the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Thursday. The drop may very well be a result of the Super Eagles failing to win any of the three friendlies they’ve played in the last one month. The Super Eagles were forced to a 1-1 stalemate by DR Congo, then suffered defeats to England and Czech Republic. Nigeria currently occupies the 48th position in the FIFA World Ranking. In the Africa ranking the Super Eagles also moved back one place- from sixth to seventh position. Nigeria’s Group D counterparts, Argentina and Iceland retained their positions in 5th and 22nd place respectively, while Croatia dropped from 18th to 20th place.
