Super Eagles Drop in Latest FIFA Ranking
Nigeria dropped one place in the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Thursday. The drop may very well be a result of the Super Eagles failing to win any of the three friendlies they’ve played in the last one month.
The Super Eagles were forced to a 1-1 stalemate by DR Congo, then suffered defeats to England and Czech Republic. Nigeria currently occupies the 48th position in the FIFA World Ranking. In the Africa ranking the Super Eagles also moved back one place- from sixth to seventh position.
Nigeria’s Group D counterparts, Argentina and Iceland retained their positions in 5th and 22nd place respectively, while Croatia dropped from 18th to 20th place.

NPFL table leader,
Lobi Stars suffered their second consecutive defeat to Go Round FC after they were edged by Eyimba in a rescheduled maychday 21 meeting last week.

In Jos, NPFL defending Champions,
Plateau United all-but lost their matchup against
Abia Warriors, but were saved by a last minute penalty.
Plateau United took the lead in the 50th minute via Saidu Salisu, eighteen minutes later Abia Warriors evened the odds with a goal from a goal by Sunday Adetunji. Two minutes later, Abia Warriors offset the balance and took the lead the Samson Obi shot past the Plateau United goalkeeper.
With five minutes left on the clock Plateau United were awarded a penalty, but failed to convert it to a goal as Abia goalie, Uche Okafor made a quick save, stopping Reuben Bala’s shot.
