Website Review: Natural Nigerian

Natural Nigerian is a blog about natural hair, and living healthy and well in Nigeria. The focus is majorly on how people can live as naturally as possible by making healthy lifestyle choices. Keeping your natural hair as against having a perm is no longer a fad; it is a healthy choice people make to nurture their hair and be rid of chemicals. Not everyone can/is interested in making healthy choices, but for those who are, Natural Nigerian is an excellent hub to hang out. Natural Nigerian is more than a blog, though. The website has an “Ahia”; an online shop where you can buy natural beauty products like Shea Butter, essential oils, African black soap (dudu osun), Beeswax, Bentonite Clay, etc. I purchased the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar from Natural Nigerian’s Ahia, for my hair conditioner. It is not their product; it is manufactured by leading health food store, Bragg. Nevertheless, here is an account of my experience with Natural Nigerian. Customer Service I purchased the Apple Cider Vinegar online, through the Ahia, and paid online too. I got an email confirming my order, and that was where things got a bit stuck. I didn’t get any more updates, and my item wasn’t delivered for about a week. I then called the phone number provided, and spoke with the MD of Natural Nigerian. She apologized for the mix-up and promised to sort it out. She was able to sort things out and my order was delivered in three days. It wasn’t my best experience shopping online, but I was very impressed by the fact that as soon as she was informed, she apologized profusely, rectified the issue and delivered my order. Delivery The item I ordered for is in a glass bottle, and Natural Nigerian thoughtfully delivered it wrapped in a bubble wrap so that it wouldn’t break in transit. The item was delivered on the expected delivery day, and quite early too. Product As I said earlier, the product isn’t made by Natural Nigerian, but it was as described, and inexpensive (considering that it is imported). I also have to say that their Ahia was the only place where I found this particular brand of Apple Cider Vinegar in Nigeria so far. Overall, I was quite pleased with the service and the wide range of products at Natural Nigerian. They stock a natural girl’s dream products, and as for me, I’m done with trying to mix natural soaps and creams myself; I will just head to their Ahia instead.   About the Author: Amina Salau is a writer and editor running The Illuminated Pen.
