The Ivoirians proved to be the better side after scoring three un-replied goals to suppress the confidence of the Nigerians. A 15th-minute strike from Sindou Kone put the Elephants ahead in the first half. Things would turn worse for the Eaglets after Abdrumane Konate doubled the lead of the Ivoirians in the 59th minute of the encounter. In an effort to change the course of the game, Nigeria’s chief coach, Fatai Amoo made some changes to the lineup including substituting Chijioke Vinci Osuji for Abdullahi. Despite Amoo’s efforts, the Elephants were unshaken and added a third in the 84th minute through substitute, Seydou Traore.

The Eaglets fight hard in the dying minutes of the game as Ahmed Abdullahi found the back of the net in the 90th minute. He would go on to grab a brace in added time but it was not enough to conquer the Ivoirian boys who went on to win the title for the second time consecutively. The Eaglets will now look to commence preparation for the 2021 AFCON in Morocco. Source: Goal Featured Image Source: @thnff – Twitter
