Program Overview
The WAAW Foundation works to close the gender disparity in STEM disciplines by offering financial resources and leadership development to academically talented African women facing economic challenges.
Recipients receive more than monetary assistance—they become part of a supportive network that promotes mentorship, creative thinking, and community engagement through university-based STEM Outreach Chapters.

STEM fields throughout Africa continue to have very low representation of women.
