Giving back
In a bid to give back to a society that was more than instrumental in grooming them into the fine players they are, the legends (South West Volleyball Legends) led by
Wasiu Ojuolape, Lola Aina and four others (
Shakirat Afolabi Badmos, Kehinde Lamidi, Edosa Aye, Anthonia Akpama-Oloyede and
Tunde Omisore) will be in Ibadan to show their support and help kids interested in volleyball find the right footing.
Lola Aina, former captain of the national women’s team and spokesperson for the group, described their aim as a productive means to reach out and help youngsters figure their talents and build them under the auspices of the group.
Aina stated that the group will be donating Mikassa-branded balls to the Oyo state volleyball Association as well as the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), also adding that well-meaning Nigerian men and women who have not shied away from contributing their quota to the development of volleyball in Nigeria will be honored during the program.
Amongst those to be honored include;

- former president of the NVBF Professor Tunde Morakinyo,
- Osaretin Emuze
- former national team coach, Tony Oghuma
