The Portugese took a shock 2nil lead in the first 25 minutes through Brazilian, Alan before some resurgent performance saw United come from behind to win 3-2. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (brace) and Johnny Evans scored for Man United. Efe Ambrose was in the starting line up for Celtic’s visit to Camp Nou to take on Barcelona. The Scots took the lead through Giorgios Samaras, Andres Iniesta equalised before Jordi Alba broke Celtic hearts, scoring with the last kick of the game to give Barca a 2-1 win. Brown Ideye scored in Dynamo Kiev’s away match to FC Porto but it wasn’t enough to prevent them from losing 3-2. Dynamo Kiev also has Taye Taiwo, Haruna Lukman and Yusuf Ayila on their books. Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke’s Schalke surprisingly beat Arsenal 2nil at The Emirates on Wednesday night. The Germans took the lead through Jan Klaas Huntelaar before Ibrahim Affelay put the game to bed. Mikel Obi started yet another Champions League match for Chelsea on Tuesday night in Donestk, Ukraine where they were trounced by the home team, Shakhtar Donestk. The Ukranians won the game 2-1 but the score line would have been worse if Petr Cech wasn’t at his best. John Utaka’s Montepellier went down 2-1 to Greek side, Olympiakos at home while Emmanuel Emenike’s Spartak Moscow defeated Benfica by the same scoreline at home.
