The United State Consulate General in Lagos is collaborating with the Lagos State University College of Medicine to organize an event as part of activities to commemorate the World Aids Day 2017. The World AIDS Day is observed on the 1st of December each year, as an opportunity for people worldwide, to unite in the fight against HIV, also to honour those who have lost their lives to AIDS, and to redouble efforts in supporting those, who are living with HIV/AIDS. It is also designed as an opportunity to educate people about their health, the health of others, and how to treat everyone with respect and understanding. The event will include a keynote remarks by the Consulate General of the United States of America, presentation by medical experts, debate by medical students, free confidential HIV testing, free medical checkup(vital signs), drama and music presentation, and lively question and answer session. The event is scheduled as follows: DATE: Monday, December 4, 2017 VENUE: The MRC Auditorium, LASUCOM, Ikeja, Lagos. TIME :10am-2pm
