Barcelona Vs Manchester United
Spanish League giants, Barcelona FC, have advanced to the semifinal round of the UEFA Champions League after completely bashing Manchester United 3-0 at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening.
Two goals from Lionel Messi in the 16th and 20th minutes, gave Barca a well deserved lead into halftime.
As expected, United could not put up a good fight to hold off Barcelona’s carnage.
After the restart, Philipe Coutinho, scored Barca’s third goal of the encounter, ending United’s Champions League run with a 4-0 (aggregate) win.
Barcelona’s last appearance at the Champions leave was in 2015.
Now, the five-time European champions will meet either Liverpool or Porto in the last four.
Juventus Vs AFC Ajax
In the most unlikely event of Tuesday night’s fixtures, Juventus lost their home game to Ajax 1-2, and have now exited the UEFA Champions league on 2-3 aggregate.
Juventus got on the front foot in the 28th minute thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s header. However, just before halftime, Donny van de Beek, evened the scores for the visitors.
Twenty two minutes into the restart, teenage centre back, Matthijs de Ligt, gave Ajax the lead with a brilliant effort to seal the win for Erik ten Hag’s men, and book a place in the last four.
AFC Ajax will be making a comeback to the European championship for the first time since 1997.
Ajax are set to meet either Manchester City or Tottenham in the next stage of the championship.
