The United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), has signed an agreement with Computer Warehouse Group Plc (CWG) for the deployment of 450 units of the CINEO series of Wincor Nixdorf brand of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Nigeria.
Mr. Eckard Heidloff, chief executive officer of Wincor Nixdorf, visited Nigeria recently, where the plan leading to the recent signing that will bring 450 new ATMs into the country was developed.
UBA is banking on the advanced features and solid engineering of the Wincor CINEO ATMs to help improve its competitiveness in the fast-growing financial services sector.
During the 4th Nigerian-German Economic forum in 2011, CWG and Wincor Nixdorf signed a cooperative agreement to deploy 600 Wincor Nixdorf ATMs to major banks in Nigeria. UBA, First Bank of Nigeria Plc. and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, were among the beneficiaries of the signing.
