 Debit-cards     United Bank for Africa (UBA) has announced that UBA card holders can now use their debit and pre-paid cards to make payments through PayPal. PayPal, one of the world’s largest online payment platforms, allows individuals and businesses to make easy international payments. Over the years, it has been used to pay for transactions on online platforms such as Amazon, eBay and other top e-Commerce websites and boasts of more than 100 million users worldwide. Dr. Yinka Adedeji, Head of UBA’s e-banking division explained that in order to make payments through PayPal, cardholders have to visit the PayPal website, select country of location, fill the application form and submit the form online. Once this is done, the card registered can be used to make payments on all websites with the PayPal logo. Adedeji assured cardholders of their transaction security saying that UBA MasterCard and VISA cards are fortified with MasterCard SecureCode and verified by VISA features respectively for secure online transactions. He stated, “UBA cards on PayPal offer unrivalled convenience for our card holders to shop online.” This development is coming just after the recent launch of the Bank’s summer campaign that encourages card holders to travel with and use their UBA cards anywhere in the world.

  • Hi, My name is Comfort. I tried linking my uba atm card to my paypal but all it said was my card wasn’t accepted. what could be the problem?
