All proposals submitted for the Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program by applicants must have an American component; some of the examples include American cultural celebrations and icons, American expert engagement (in person or virtual), the use of American Spaces materials, and the U.S. training curriculum. Projects with a strong incorporation of American components will be prioritized over other proposals.

Who Can Apply?
- Registered Nigerian and U.S. not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply.
- The program is also open to public and private cultural and educational organizations.
- For-profit or commercial entities are ineligible to apply.
- The deadline for applications is March 3, 2025.
