  The Public Diplomacy Section of the United States Consulate General in Lagos State is inviting applications for its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. It is a program designed to emphasize the shared goals and values between the United States and Nigeria through projects.

All proposals submitted for the Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program by applicants must have an American component; some of the examples include American cultural celebrations and icons, American expert engagement (in person or virtual), the use of American Spaces materials, and the U.S. training curriculum. Projects with a strong incorporation of American components will be prioritized over other proposals.

Who Can Apply?

  • Registered Nigerian and U.S. not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply.
  • The program is also open to public and private cultural and educational organizations.
  • For-profit or commercial entities are ineligible to apply.
  • The deadline for applications is March 3, 2025.
