The draw which will hold at the Monotel Dar El Barka Hotel in Nouakchott, Mauritania by 13hrs GMT (2 pm Nigeria time), will be conducted by the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu and will be broadcasted on all digital platforms belonging to CAF. The five-time world champions booked a placed at the tournament expected to hold in Morocco by next month, March 13-31st 2021, after making it to the final of the WAFU B U17 competition which held in Togo in January 2021. The Golden Eaglets lost the final game 3-2 to Ivory Coast (Baby Elephants) before commencing preparations for the tournament in Morocco.

Other nations set to slug it out at the continental tournament include hosts, Morocco, Congo, Cameroon, Tanzania, Algeria, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Mali. Despite winning the FIFA U-17 World Cup on five occasions (1985, 1993, 2007, 2013 and 2015), the African football powerhouse will be hoping for a favourable draw as Nigeria aims towards hitting greater heights again in world football.
