L’Étoile Olympique de Sidi Bouzid (EO Sidi Bouzid), a Tunisian League 2 club, have unveiled their new kit for the upcoming season. The Tunisian outfit swapped their traditional green stripes with a design that has a sharp resemblance to the traditional jersey of the Nigerian national team.
It would be recalled that the iconic jersey made to honour the 1994 Super Eagles shirt was launched before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The eagle-wing inspired black and white sleeves and green torso saw massive queues in many fashion stores around London when it went public prior to the Super Eagles campaign in Russia.
Designed by popular world kit manufacturing company, Nike, the kit has turned out to be one of the most recognizable and widely accepted jersey among football fans and sports enthusiasts globally.
The Tunisian side, founded in 1959, currently competes at the lower division 2, and will wear the copycat jersey for the first time when the league commences.
