Remember how some years back, a certain pay-TV brand came up with big promises? This year with not much in the way of hype, the service, TSTV,  has relaunched and they are coming at the market with satellite broadcasting service that would incorporate a pay-per-view model. The service now claims to have 80 channels and each channel according to managing director, Bright Echefu, goes for a price range between #2 to #5. He also announced at the launch that the service will be offering one sports channel for free for the next year to thank Nigerians for their patience with the brand.

The managing director, Mr Bright Echefu, said at the press conference held in Abuja on Wednesday that the service will be launched in eighteen states and will be offering only one bouquet unlike what the average consumer is used to. According to the MD,
“Today all the efforts, perseverance and commitment from both staff, Management, and the board of the company brought us this far, and as such, the celebration this year will focus on renewing lost relationship, and bringing back that glory that was almost going extinct. The Management of TSTV has done a lot internally, to rebuild that trust and to also make us competitive enough to be able to deliver to Nigerians value in terms of premium content and entertainment as well.”

Presently, we have yet to see anything in the way of service delivery form the company. One will be forgiven for sounding sceptical as this only the third time they “launched” or announced a launch. The first time was in September 2017. The second instance was the following year. This time it was only an announcement as it seemed they had come to terms with their problems. This time, question marks are piling up as to some of the details of their announcement. Rest assured dealers who were eager to partner up with them the last time would need some convincing as they got burned the last time out. We can only keep our fingers crossed this time.
