  England and Crystal Palace’s player, Andros Townsend, has hailed his new Nigerian teammate, Eberechi Eze, as an ‘’incredible talent’’ after playing together for several weeks with the Nigerian starlet. Eze, 22, was handed his first full debut for the Eagles by Roy Hodgson on the night of Tuesday, September 15, 2020, as they were knocked out 11-10 via penalties to Bournemouth in the English League Cup. The Nigerian was impressive for the entire duration of the game and went on to convert his penalty into the goal after the game ended 0-0 in normal time. Townsend who only got the nod by Hodgson to feature for 20 minutes after replacing Nya Kirby stated that Eze has all the raw tools to make it to the top of football.

Eberechi Eze joined Crystal Palace in the ongoing transfer window for a five-year deal worth £17 million after turning out impressively for Queens Park Rangers in the Championship last season, helping them finish in the 13th spot. Despite featuring for the U-20 and U-21 sides of the English national team, the Nigerian-eligible star has stated that he is yet to make a decision as regards his international future.
