One of the best times of the year to plan a vacation towards is during Easter. The Easter holiday usually spans from Friday till Monday, which gives you four whole days to rest and do something innovative and fun. This year’s Easter starts from March 30th to April 2nd.
The best time to start planning a vacation is months in advance, and the next best time to plan a vacation for the Easter period is now. There are lots of opportunities for travel within Nigeria.

Hotel deals
Lots of hotels are willing to slash their prices to encourage visitors to stay over. Jumia offers an Early Easter bird offer of a whopping 30% off on all hotel bookings with the code “FAB30”.
There are other hotel deals on their site which have as high as 50% or more discount offers, and they are in various locations within the country:
3J’s Hotel in Utako, Abuja
Downtown Royal Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos
Southern Star Towers in First Artillery, Port Harcourt
Some proactive travel agencies have already started advertising their Easter packages.
Social Prefect has an Easter in Ghana package from March 30th-April 2nd.
Motley Travels has a full itinerary with Obudu Mountain Resort and Yankari Game Reserve vacations for the entire Easter period and a Gurara Waterfalls Daycation on March 31st.
Centerpoint Travels has a Daycation to Olumo Rock on March 31st and an Obudu Mountain Resort Easter package.

Booking Flights
Most airlines haven’t started putting out their Easter flight packages within Nigeria at the moment. However, the earlier you book a flight, the cheaper it will be. The airline options to choose from include Aero Contractors, Arik air, Air Peace, Dana airline, FirstNation and Med-View airlines.
With a little above 16,000naira, you can get an economy class ticket on any of the airlines (prices are usually determined by the distance travelled). If you are a frequent customer of an airline or if you happen to be a registered customer with an airline, you could get eVouchers or email notifications on cheaper fares.
