At the 2024 All-African Games in Accra, Tobi Amusan was expected to conquer her category, the 100h, and she did. She won the 100 metres hurdle in a time of 12:89 seconds, defeating second place and Madagascar’s Sidonie Fiadanantsoa (13.19 seconds) and third place and Zimbabwe’s Ashley Kamangarira (13.59 seconds). This victory marks Amusan’s third African Games title; Congo Brazzaville 2015, Rabat 2019, and Accra 2024.

However, Tobi Amusan also anchored the Nigerian 4x100m relay team to gold. She led the quartet of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Olajide Olayinka and Fore Abinusawa to victory with a time of 43.06 seconds at the 13th African Games on Wednesday night, 20th March 2024.

It is safe to say that Tobi Amusan is in good spirits, heading into the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This time, she’ll face the world’s best hurdlers, such as Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Danielle Williams, Kendra Harrison, and Nia Ali.
