Windows 10 has a very convenient currency conversion tool built into the calculator app. You can make quick currency conversions from almost any currency in the world. Most people use Google to do currency conversions but well you need an internet connection for that. The calculator app works offline. All you need to do is update it periodically so it has the most recent exchange rates on its database.
Using the currency converter in Windows 10 is a simple task.
Below are steps for using the currency conversion tool in Windows 10
- Open the Calculator app on Windows 10, or install from the windows store.
- To open the currency converter tool in the Calculator app, click the hamburger button in the top left corner and search for Currency under ‘Converter’ in the drop-down menu.
3. Now, you can select the input and output currencies using the respective drop-down arrows.
4. Although Windows 10 automatically updates the exchange rates, they might not be up to date if you haven’t connected to the internet in a while. Click Update rate to refresh the exchange rates.
5. After you’re done, enter the desired value to see the conversion.
The built-in Windows 10 digital assistant –
Cortana – can also help with currency conversion. Just type your query in Cortana’s search bar or issue a voice command to get your values converted via Bing.
