By Pamela Agboga filmhouse banner Do the cinemas in Nigeria seem expensive? Well, one has been found that can be considered affordable. While some may consider seeing a movie at the cinema as frippery, for those that consider it as a form of relaxation, The Filmhouse has opened its first Lagos outlet, at the Leisure Mall beside Shoprite on Adeniran Ogunsanya. While it is unknown how long this bonanza will last, the tickets currently cost as low as N500 for adults! For 3D movies an extra N500 is required. Movies showing at present include Nigerian releases such as The Meeting, and Doctor Bello.  Argo, Parental Guidance and the Expendables 2 made the line-up for foreign movies. For details on the show times and dates, visit their website www.filmhouseng.com where there’s something for everyone. They currently have other outlets at Asaba and Calabar and will soon open at Ketu and Kano. And the prices appear to be uniform. So look out for one in your area and enjoy the big screen at a reduced fee.
