Whatever is going on in our bodies is easily reflected on the skin, and that is why it is often easy to tell when something is wrong with the body.

Healthy skin complements glowing skin. To achieve a glow, the skin needs to be healthy. Nowadays, there are a lot of detoxification diets that aim to reduce toxins from the body. Toxins are harmful substances in the body that can affect the proper functioning of important organs like the kidney. By going through a process of cleansing (detoxification), the body gets rid of such substances.

You may be required to go on a juice diet, fruits-only diet and such. The problem sometimes is, the moment the required number of days is completed, old habits that built up the toxins in the first place are resumed. It may be as result of the fact that the prescribed diet is too expensive to maintain for long.

To achieve glowing and healthy skin without breaking the bank, drinking water is the best method. Consuming at least eight glasses of water per day is guaranteed to help the kidney flush out waste from the body.

Some Benefits of Water to the Skin

Detoxification

The more water you take, the more is available for the kidney to flush out waste from the body. When there are less toxins in the body, the skin shows it first. You start to see the glow yourself.

Hydration

Lethargy, dehydration, cracked lips and such are by- products of inadequate water intake. The body needs a lot of water to move things along. When you drink water to flush out waste, you are also re-hydrating your body in the process.

Give yourself a challenge. Take a minimum of eight glasses of water for a specific number of days and watch out for the changes in your body. You will be surprised. Even if you decide to have juice or vegetable diet to detoxify your body and cleanse your skin, drinking a lot of water is still the cheapest and most sustainable way of achieving glowing skin.
