The Money Drop
The Money Drop Nigeria launched exclusively on Africa Magic Entertainment on January 12, 2013. Hosted by Big Brother Nigeria housemate and Tinsel star, Gideon Okeke, this game gives a couple (not necessarily married or dating) the chance to get and hold on to $100,000!
Participants get the money, then choose categories and are asked questions with a choice of possible answers. Both contestants place their money on the choice they think is correct, or they can play smart and split the money on different choices. But they must place the entire sum they have at that time. If they place their cash wrongly, the money literally drops through the bottom of the box, and out of their grasp.
After seven questions, they get to keep whatever cash they have left. If they run out of cash before the last question, they are out of the game. A lot like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, this is a fun game that will have your jaw dropping in disbelief too, when you miss the answer.

Tinsel
We all love Tinsel, but sometimes it is hard to keep up. The current Season 5 airs on Africa Magic Entertainment, but Tinsel Season 3 shows on Africa Magic World 155 all week, with the omnibus on Mondays from 11am. With that, you can catch up and understand why things are the way they are in Season 5. Plus you can relive all the great scenes from Season 3- Reginald’s murder, Angela’s trial and acquittal, and the intrigue that led to the unveiling of the real killer. And then there’s the Kwame-Telema-Soji love triangle. Good times!
Tinsel Season 3: On Africa Magic World 155, Mondays 11:00am (omnibus)
Nigerian Idol
Afrobeat Legend Femi Kuti, international performing artist Jeffery Daniel, and Nigeria’s soul diva Yinka Davies have been having a hard time judging the contest this year. Right now they are down to six contestants, and the next few weeks are not to be missed as we decide who wins the grand prize.
The Idol grand prize is worth $100,000, in which the lucky winner will get: 7.5 million naira in cash, a recording contract also worth 7.5 million naira, and a brand new SUV. Runner-ups will also receive prizes worth a total of 10 million naira. This is the time to vote for your choice.
The show airs every weekend on: NTA Network at 3.00pm on Saturdays and 4.00pm on Sundays; Sound City and ONTV at 7.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays; STV at 8.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays; and on TVC at 9.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Teju Babyface Show
This young, handsome ‘Omo Yoruba’, gets you laughing and thinking at the same time as he invites serious guests on his wacky show. He features governors, politicians, artistes, and more, and they get the chance to talk about themselves and have their say on topics the public need answers to. Teju eases tension by making wise cracks that oddly keep the discussion light but relevant.
If you want a few laughs to keep your heart rate stable and your face fully dressed with a smile, watch the Teju Babyface show.
The program airs on: LTV on Thursdays at 9.00pm, SuperScreen on Saturdays at 6.00pm, Capital TV Kaduna on Tuesdays at 10.00pm, ITV Benin on Wednesdays at 4.00pm, ITV Abuja on Wednesdays at 6.00pm, and Ekiti TV on Sundays at 44.30 pm with a repeat broadcast on Thursdays at 8.00pm.
Happy viewing!
