For Tech Startups and Companies
Although the Nigerian clime does not fully encourage tech processes and development because of many issues ranging from power supply to data connection prices and governments that are increasingly becoming interested in merging technology with several sectors of the economy and governance, the Nigerian field is ripe and available as a playing field for everyone. For Students in Tech
Students in tech have ample opportunity to decide on what career path to face – to contribute to solving a problem a company is already solving by joining them or to start up a company that solves a problem no one is solving in a particular manner.
Look out for tech events like Techpoint Build and SMW Lagos where you can interact with industry leaders and pitch your idea or skills to potential investors or employers.
There are also ample opportunities in machine learning and artificial intelligence in top technology companies in the world looking for people with ideas, commitment and discipline to research and building a product that works and helps people.
For Tech Enthusiasts
The world of tech keeps getting wider and wider as we try to solve different human problems. There is a wide range of sectors that tech enthusiasts can explore in order to be part of the solution. This ranges from UI/UX to Product Management, Project Management, Human Resource and others. If you belong to this set, take time out, research on the aspects you are considering, get an education (this could be an online course or a degree), join a community or have a mentor that can put you through before making the leap to the tech world.
