517f1e9e154fa14db0dc8fc1e9cc8e5f   Team Nigeria continued their impressive outing at the ongoing second edition of the Africa Youth Games in Gaborone, Botswana. The youngsters added 5 more gold medals to their medal haul yesterday, bringing their total to nine gold and two bronze medals. Nigeria gained from international rules to add two more gold medals in the weight lifting event before adding three more in Judo, Badminton and Table Tennis. Esther Etim and Oginni Olasunkanmi were the heroes for Nigeria in the Judo and Table Tennis events respectively. The Badminton team recorded Nigeria’s first gold medal as a team. Team Nigeria also picked another gold medal in the girls’ cycling event. Nigeria is currently at the summit of the medals’ table hence they are in line to win the competition. The competition will come to an end on Saturday.
