BBNaija 2017 finalist Tokunbo Idowu, popularly known by the name TBoss, has been nominated for Best Actress in Nollywood at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for her role in the Toka Macbaror movie The Island. Very little is known about Tboss as an actor before BBNaija and this would be one of her first professional acting ventures, hence it would come to many as a surprise.
An excited Tboss wrote on social media:
In the same category as the ex-BBN housemate are Yvonne Jegede Fawole, Adesua Etomi, Beverly Naya, and Chigurl. The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) is in its second year and has its award nights immediately after the more popular Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Ghanaian Joselyn Dumas was awarded best actress last year. This year’s awards are scheduled to hold in the last weekend of August 2018.
