Coach Gernot Rohr is now expected to name a replacement for Ndidi from the standby list of the Super Eagles. Ndidi’s injury is a huge blow to Leicester City as he has served as a perfect cover for the centre back position with Jonny Evans, Wes Morgan, and Filip Benkovic all out injured. The midfielder was missing in action in Wednesday night’s (September 23, 2020), English League Cup clash against Arsenal as his side lost 2-0, and will equally be unavailable for selection in Sunday’s (September 27, 2020) premier league match against Pep Guardiola’s Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium.
