Nigeria’s Super Eagles have climbed two places to 43rd in the latest FIFA World rankings with 681 points. The improvement sees Nigeria climb above Guinea and Congo to 7th place in Africa. The Super Eagles were 9th in Africa and 45th in the world in last month’s ranking. World champions, Germany are still the best team in the World with 1,775 points. European giants, Belgium are surprisingly second whilst Argentina, runners-up at the last Mundial, are third. In Africa, Algeria usurped reigning CAF African Cup of Nations’ winner, Cote d’Ivoire to climb top of the pile. The top ten African sides are Algeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Ghana, Senegal, Cape Verde, Nigeria, Guinea, Congo and Cameroun.
