Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, Wilfred Ndidi, has put fears to rest that he may not be fully recovered before the World Cup when he tweeted a picture of his return to a private training session. This news has calmed the thoughts of Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, who was already perturbed by the void Ndidi would leave if he didn’t make a quick recovery. To further strengthen Nigeria’s faith for the World Cup, Super Eagles’ Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, revealed to CSN that the team’s doctor, Dr. Ibrahim Gyaran, has given his word that Ndidi will be fully fit before Nigeria’s first game at the Worlds. “Ndidi will be fully fit for the World Cup. There are no worries on that,” Ibitoye said. Meanwhile, Leicester City manager, Claude Puel, completely ruled out Ndidi and a few others from City’s Premier League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday. “We are sure that Ndidi, James, Amartey, Huth are not available, then after, other players, I don’t know,” Puel said during his pre-match interview on Monday. “I don’t know for Okazaki, I don’t know about Simpson. We will see with Schmeichel. We will see with Diabate, he was ill today (Monday). Dragovic, we will see tomorrow (Tuesday) with his shoulder. I’m sorry I cannot give you more information about my team.” Puel added. Things are not looking up for the foxes who have failed to win any of their last five league games and are currently in ninth in the EPL table with 44 points from 36 games.A sunny day to recuperate ☀??♂?? pic.twitter.com/rChB0u4nZM
