Excerpt from Ayo Otuyalo’s book, A Personal Prayer Guide: Bible Verse:  One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. (Luke 8: 22-24) It is important to highlight that some of the disciples used to be fishermen which suggests that they had encountered many storms in their lifetime. The fact that they were afraid meant this was a different kind of storm. Thank God Jesus was with them. What they did not realise was that because Jesus was in there, they could not sink. What are you going through that has put you in jeopardy and is trying to drown you? As long as you are carrying Jesus inside you, you can’t sink. It is also important to highlight that the problem was not exclusive to only them, as others on the lake would have been affected. There are times we go through problems in life and believe we are the only ones. As Jesus woke up, he rebuked the storm. Today, as you call upon the name of Jesus, every raging storm in your life, marriage, business shall cease in Jesus Name.   Prayer: Father, I speak to every raging storm that has put my life in jeopardy. I REBUKE it in the name of Jesus. I speak to my marriage and declare let there be calmness in Jesus Name. I speak to my business and declare let there be calmness in Jesus Name!
