With Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi’s future in doubt after match bonus-stricken World Cup campaign, former Austria manager, Didi Constantini has expressed his desire to replace the former Green Eagles captain.
Constantini, 59, who won 198 caps for his country, was in charge of the Austria Senior National Team until September 2011. He has also coached at club level in Austria and Saudi Arabia.
According to Complete Sports, Constantini told reporters, “Nigeria has a lot of potentials in the game and given the opportunity I’ll be ready to help take the game to the next level in Nigeria.”
Keshi has been linked to the Bafana Bafana job after he declared he won’t be renewing his contract with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) at the conclusion of Super Eagles’ World Cup campaign in Brazil.
The NFF has been quiet, however it is just a matter of time before a decision will be made on the issue.
