Last weekend marked the launch of
Wizkid‘s
Starboy clothing merchandise and the first of many Starboy pop up shop at the Reign fashion store on Washington Street, New York.

The new collection includes t-shirts of different designs, a set of Made in Lagos green and purple gradient tee, bomber jackets, hoodies, bandannas, all of which are adorned with minimalistic designs and the distinctive Starboy logo. Other items on display include stickers, badges, posters, pins, and cups.
The Soco crooner says that at the brainstorming sessions for the project, he simply had two criteria for his creative team, among whom wass London-based fashion consultant Irene Agbontaen:
“One: simple and two: fresh. It has to have a more universal appeal to it. Something you can be proud wearing—not just as a Starboy fan but proud being [as] an African.
“But I also want people around the world to be able to wear it. Even if you’re not from Lagos, it should be fashionable enough for you to just throw it on.”
Pop-up stores involve creating sales spaces for short-term sales; just long enough to have your products resonate with potential customers.
The 28-year-old singer earlier announced that he will be releasing his new Made In Lagos album on the 1st of October.
Wizkid fans, anticipate!
