The award was given for Stanlee Ohikhuare exciting Surreal Drama, Idahosa Trails, which is a well crafted fictional narrative, with a story-line fostered by true events. Idahosa Trails features an exceptional storyline that is true to its premise. It also features a believable performance by the actors; especially David Schifter – who also won the Best Actor award for the same movie. His Nigerian supporting lead; Kunle Idowu was also a delight to see on screen. The visual story – telling style employed by the filmmaker is quite compelling, and the pace and story progression is sufficiently engaging. Idahosa Trails’ clear and compelling picture is further complemented by the high quality of the movie’s sound. Accepting the award, Stanlee Ohikhuare says “We set out to accomplish a movie with a steady progression in the story-telling. Many people from our country are always on the lookout for a quick fix of spontaneous slap sticks and excessive lines. They crave for action and talking heads; thereby losing the essence of true story-telling.  Such people might not find Idahosa Trails meeting their expectations because it does not satisfy their quest for “action and noise” over storytelling. But we’re certain that the discerning few, who really understand pace, progression and story in Film would be delighted with it” We thank the organizers of the Award for recognizing our hard work.
