“If you dream it, you can achieve it” – Seye Ogunlewe
Nigeria’s 100m champion, Seye Ogunlewe, all-but claimed a medal in the men’s 100m Heats, finishing in the same time as the athlete in third place. Seye, however, did not get a medal because Yohan’s torso crossed the finish line before his.
Still the sprinter is not deterred, he is hopeful to make a remarkable comeback and show the world just what he can do.
“GUTTED! I tried my best unfortunately it wasn’t enough for a medal ? We both finished at 10.19 but Yohans torso slightly crossed the line before mine by microseconds. However, I hope I made u guys proud! Thanks for the love and messages, they mean everything to me! God bless you all abundantly!
The Journey continues…” Seye captioned his Instagram video.

“My Common Wealth games done” – Edwards
Nigeria’s sole men’s High Jump competitor, Micheal Edwards was stopped by the IAAF from competing for Nigeria in the 2018 Common Wealth Games, Gold Coast, Australia, due to a ‘transfer of allegiance’ issue.
Despite being cleared for the competition in Gold Coast, the jumper could not compete. However he took matters into his hands and protested this decision using the social media, but after all his effort it’s been concluded that Edward will not compete for Nigeria.
Edward has refused to be deterred by this and he hopes that his move against the decision made against him has stirred someone out there to fight the walls that may stand in their way despite the seeming challenges.
Daddy Goals!!
