It is a must-win for us. We know the importance of the game and we’ve been working hard in training. Hopefully, tomorrow we are going to come out in our best and then make sure we win the game.

Azubuike Okechukwu

Azubuike teamed up with the Nigerian squad late on Monday (November 11) owing to the fact that his Turkish club, Istabul Basaksehir, held him for their Turkish Super Lig game last weekend. Despite missing the 1-0 loss to Cote d’Ivoire, Okechukwu played a crucial role in Nigeria’s 3-1 win against the Chipolopolo of Zambia but does not think his presence is the reason behind Nigeria’s victory in the second game. The Turkish-based footballer attributed the win to team’s collective effort.

The Nigeria vs South Africa game will kick off at 7pm (WAT).
