Cobhams Asuquo makes a social statement with his satirical new song ‘Everyday’. It tells the story of how three friends set out to get a better life but end up suffering betrayal by one while the other is away and the third simply looks on unconcerned. It draws several parallels with the Nigerian State.
The song, which is inspired by the popular maxim, “Every day is for the thief and one day is for the owner,” highlights the dangers of being politically complacent while people who do not mean well for the people take charge. Enjoy ‘Everyday’.
