Song Of The Week: Ajebutter22 – Lagos Love
“Lagos Love” hit airwaves and was released online on the 28th of February 2019, following the successful release of the joint EP ‘Make E No Cause Fight’ with BOJ.
In the song, he draws humorous comparisons between his girl and experiences in Lagos which most Nigerians all all too familiar with, one of which is that she is as rare as “Danfo” with air conditioner.
The “Ghana Bounce”crooner started rapping in secondary school. His 1st recorded song was a collaboration with his sister Taymi B, titled “Story Book Girl”. they went on to release their 1st mixtape with over 5000 downloads. He released the 13 track album “What Happens In Lagos” in late 2017
He raps in English, pidgin English and Yoruba, delivering punchline laden verses with witty puns.
The “Lagos Love” video was released online on Friday 3rd May 2019. It (the song) is produced by Spax, with video directed by Prodigeezy.
