Keke NAPEP are soon going to be working with solar energy, a promise made by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi He stated that  Federal Government is continuously working on introducing solar-powered Keke NAPEPS that are clean and are non-polluting as they have zero emissions. According to Punchng, The Minister who was represented by the Chairman, Short Code Social Media App, Mrs. Anthonia Ekpa, stated this at a courtesy visit to road transport unions. She mentioned that these solar-powered Keke NAPEPS would be showcased at a forthcoming expo in UyoAkwa Ibom capital in December this year. If this plan is followed through, it would put Nigeria on a platform as probably the first country to use such an innovation on a wider range of adopting renewable energy technology for Keke transportation.
