She started learning to play the saxophone after playing the keyboard at a music concert where she noticed other children her age playing the saxophone and the melodious sounds they produced. This prompted her to persuade her parents to let her learn the saxophone and the rest, they say, is history. Since then, she has performed with artists like Johnny Drille, Sound Sultan, Bankuli, Rotimikeys, Spellz, Latoria Bassy, Eli-J, Wole Oni, Ernestor Dolvi, met with Don Jazzy and performed on a TedX stage in Nigeria.

On how she balances music with her education, Temilayo explains that her parents assist her in structuring her weekly activities so that she can be productive. While she focuses on her academics during the week, she spends more time on music over the weekend. Besides the saxophone, Temilayo has also practised with the keyboard. She plans to continue learning the acoustic guitar and keyboard once she has mastered the saxophone. With over 100,000 followers on Instagram, it is apparent that the sky is just the starting point for the 11-year-old. She also dreams of becoming an international actress and she loves to draw.
