Taaooma was born in Nigeria but had most of her education in Namibia when her parents moved. She attended Amazing Kids Private School & Academy for her primary school education and for her secondary school education, she went to Concordia College in Windhoek, Namibia. Thereafter, she returned to Nigeria and eventually went to Kwara State University, Ilorin, where she studied Tourism and Travel Service Management. She always had a flair for comedy, and thanks to her fiancé, Abdulaziz Oladimeji (popularly known as Abula) who introduced her to the art of videography and video editing, she began to perform comedy skits. Maryam Apaokagi has always spoken of his influence on her career. He is responsible for teaching her how to use the camera and for showing her the way to use the video editing software called Adobe Premiere Pro. In 2015, Taaooma released her first comedy skit, and ever since, she has done marvellously well. She has risen to prominence in the Nigerian comedy scene, capturing the hearts of young and old alike. It was in April 2019 when Taaooma released the viral skit ‘When Your Mum Drives you to school’. This particular skit increased her popularity and endorsed her presence online. It also increased her social media followers. Even Nigerian celebrities like Falz, Mc Macaroni, etc. enjoy and share her content. Currently, she has more than 1M followers on Instagram, about 1.5M followers on Facebook, over 350,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. Her large fan base has established her and has made her a social media influencer, giving her the opportunity to promote her brand and other brands.

Taaooma plays four major characters in her skits, and sometimes she acts all simultaneously. These characters include Taaoo (herself), Iya Taaoo (her mother), Baba Taaoo (her father), and Tayo (her brother). Iya Taaoo is famous for the slaps she gives the character of Taaoo which many Nigerians believe to be the highlight of her skits. She is officially engaged to her fiancé who is her husband-to-be. His name is Abdulaziz Oladimeji. They got engaged in February 2020, in Namibia, but not many people were aware of their engagement. Apart from her comedy skits which she uploads on her YouTube page and on other social media platforms, Taaooma runs a food delivery service, Chop Tao where she makes and delivers small chops/snacks for events on preorder. She hopes to move into the Nollywood movie industry someday and plans to produce her movies under The Greenade Company, a video-making outfit that she manages with her fiancé Abdulaziz. This social media sensation has been nominated in various global and national awards and won a few too. She won The Gage Award as the Best Online Comedian of the year in 2019. She has also won the Nigeria 25 under 25 awards as a Social Entrepreneur.
