1. Condensed Milk is Over 200 Years Old: If you’re surprised that it’s as old as Methuselah, don’t be. Condensed milk was invented at the beginning of the nineteenth century by the French man, Upper. It went on sale for the very first time in America in 1856. In Russia, condensed milk production started in a small factory in Orenburg in 1881. Can you now see that condensed milk is an ancient of days food? 2. It Creates Ice Cream Without Churning: We’re in the rainy season. Thus, the demand for ice cream is low. But in the dry season, the cold sweetness of this dessert makes it irresistible. The kids love it in particular and if you have condensed milk at home, you can make ice cream without an ice cream maker. What’s even better is the fact that the combination of condensed milk and whipped cream creates a light and fluffy texture that freezes and scoops well. 3. It is Different from Evaporated Milk: Both condensed milk and evaporated milk are forms of concentrated milk in which about sixty percent of the water content has been removed. However, the major difference between them is the sugar content. While condensed milk is sweetened, evaporated milk is unsweetened. Though they both infuse their creaminess to food, they cannot be used interchangeably. If a recipe calls for condensed milk, use it for any substitution with evaporated milk may produce a bland result.

It is pertinent to mention that because the sugar in condensed milk is concentrated, it adds a caramelized flavour to processing. As a result, combining sugar with evaporated milk will not produce that same result. 4. It is said to be an Immune Booster: Condensed milk can restore blood and normalize hormones. It can replenish the supply of vitamins and minerals in the body. What’s more? It also contains properties that have an effect on cellular metabolism. 5. Condensed Milk is the Creamiest Beverage Ever: If you have some leftover condensed milk after baking, add it to your beverage mbok. You’ll find that even a little of it can infuse a rich creaminess to your tea, coffee, non-caffeinated beverage. What’s more, condensed milk works well with both cold and hot beverages. So, what’s not to like about it? 6. It can Serve as Salad Dressing: You know that where weight is concerned, there are three categories of people: those who want to lose weight, those who are happy with their weight and those who want to gain weight. Those who belong to the last category can use condensed milk as a salad dressing. It has fattening properties that they can benefit from.
