Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem has in recent times experienced a significant boost in its growth levels — with more domestically grown businesses tapping into the vast power of social media marketing than ever before
Lagos is home to Nigeria’s biggest gathering of such businesses, and the number keeps increasing.
Simply Nigerian Fair
About 1,000 Lagosians came out to celebrate our creatively talented entrepreneurs at the fifth edition of the Simply Nigerian Fair, which held on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at 10, Adekunle Lawal, Ikoyi, Lagos.
It was an afternoon dedicated to 100% made in Nigeria goods, and visitors and shoppers were treated to their fill from the thrilling bevy of diverse categories of goods and services on display; including food & beverage, fashion & footwear, hair & body, home & lifestyle, plants & flowers, and fresh produce.
About 120 vendors took part in this edition of the fair — showcasing and selling locally made products that could easily match-up to imported goods in terms of quality and price. From one stand to the other, it was delightful proof of just how artistically intelligent and innovative Nigerians truly are.
The SNF is an initiative to promote home-grown businesses by affording them a platform where they can showcase their products, meet new customers and grow their business networks.
Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, represented by Managing Director, Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB), B.U. Ja’afaru, praised the organizers of the fair for their commitment to the growth of homegrown businesses in Nigeria.
Ja’afaru went on to speak on the brave innovative spirit of Nigerians and our well of abundant natural and human resources, laden with the potential to significantly improve the living standard in the country.
Founder and Director at SNF, Temi Shenjobi, said the fair is aimed at helping homegrown businesses grow into profitable enterprises that will in turn create jobs for others.
