Simon Moses shone brightly on Friday, September 3, 2021, when the Super Eagles played host to the Liberian national team in their first 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers match, and is currently away in Cape Verde for their second group game scheduled to hold today, September 7, by 5 pm (WAT). The announcement from Nantes revealed that Moses beat three other players to win the monthly prize with 58% votes. In August, Moses was very impressive for the Ligue One side, bagging three assists out of four games in the league.

So far, the former Levante of Spain forward is having a brilliant run of form for club and country and is expected to continue his excellent display when Nigeria play against Cape Verde at the Estádio Municipal Adérito Sena in Mindelo. With the absence of numerous key figures in the squad, Moses who has always enjoyed the confidence of coach Gernot Rohr will have to repay the faith shown in him by the German tactician.
