Everton Boss, Marco Silva, has charged Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi, to be consistent with his impressive form for the club in the 2019/2020 campaign.
Iwobi joined the Toffees in the deadline day of the English summer transfer window and has added quality with his creativity and goals for Silva’s side after adapting to life at Goodison Park. Iwobi, 23, has scored in each of his first two starts for the Toffees, scoring with headers in the club’s 4-2 Carabao Cup victory against Lincoln City, and in the 3-2 Premier League win against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Super Eagle’s intelligent use of the ball, penetration, and speed has earned him a place in Silva’s team.
It is something I will demand from him more and more. With the quality he has, I am a hundred percent sure he will give important things for us. He will give high quality in our attack. He can provide creativity playing from the left or behind the striker as an offensive midfielder. And if he can, and I am sure he can, score more goals, it will help the team. The first time I met with him, it was something I put in his mind [his ability to score goals].
