Former Super Eagles star and current team coach of the Nigerian Olympic Team, Samson Siasia has expressed his desire to lure highly rated Liverpool youngster Jordan Ibe from England.
According to SL10.ng, the seasoned tactician is considering inviting Ibe to the Dream Team VI squad for the forthcoming 2016 Olympic qualifiers.
”We want Jordon Ibe before England takes him; let us make the first move,” Samson Siasia told SL10.ng.
”We are trying to reach him, my friend in England has been trying to contact him to convince him to play for Nigeria. If you watch him play, you know he is a good player.”
Siasia, who led Nigeria to second place finish behind Argentina at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, is hoping Ibe’s switch to Nigeria will be done in time to enhance his side’s chances of qualifying for the 2016 edition.
