The #SaveKanoNine hashtag is currently trending on social media platform, Twitter. Why? Nine people have been sentenced to death in Kano state for blaspheming against the Prophet Muhammad by an Upper Sharia court. The Kano State Sharia Court of Appeal, in a statement, said the nine were found guilty under Sections 110 and 382b of the Sharia Penal Court law of 2000. Reacting to the judgement, many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to appeal for the sentence to be overturned and calling on respected religious leaders and bodies such as Amnesty International to intervene. Many are condemning the judgement stating that it is extreme and unnecessary. Hereare some of the tweets:   What do you think? Share your opinion below.
