Head coach of the Nigerian national team, Super Eagles, has handed invitation to 24 players ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON 2021 qualifiers crucial tie against Sierra Leone on March 26, 2020, and the return leg at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown four days later. While Kelechi Iheanacho returns to the squad after not being invited for a long while, Rohr also handed invitation to two new comers. FC Cologne of Germany’s Kingsley Ehizibue, and Cyriel Dessers of Heracle Almelo (The Netherlands) join the African football giants for the first time. An impressive run of form which has seen Desser bag 15 goals in 25 Dutch league outings and Ehizibue’s consistency as Cologne’s right-back meant both players were considered to wear the Eagles shirt.
