Here’s a good way to start your day, with something different from the usual banana and pineapple smoothies and the like. Here’s a blend of greens: cucumber, baby spinach, ginger, lemon juice and green apples. The apple would serve as a sweetener but you may substitute with a sweeter fruit.
Ingredients
- 50g baby spinach
- 1 green apple
- 1 cucumbers
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- Grated ginger
- 1 bunch mint leaves
Method
- Wash the fruits and vegetables.
- Slice the cucumber and apples for easy blending.
- Blend the spinach, apples, cucumber, ginger and mint leaves in a smoothie blender.
- Add the lemon juice and blend again.
- Serve cold.
