The Portuguese tactician is impressed with the level of the display shown by his players.
Head coach of the Nigerian national team Jose Peseiro hailed his players over their excellent display that saw them beat Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the StadeAdrar, Agadir, Morocco. The win was Nigeria’s biggest in its international football history and the Portuguese tactician had nothing but words of praise for his lads.
SSC Napoli of Italy star Victor Osimhen led the scorers’ chart with four goals in the game, Lorient of France star TeremMoffi scored twice in the game, while Moses Simon, OghekharoEtebo, AdemolaLookman, and Emmanuel Dennis all scored to hand the African football heavyweights the three points.
“About the 10-0 win? Yes, it’s good. It is better for us [to get] three points, which is more important to us. Of course, I want to improve our organization on the field because we didn’t train too much with them. We want to introduce our ideas – this match was good because they tried to follow our organisation, our style, and our ideas. I am also happy because the guys who entered during the match did as well as those players who started,’’ the former Al Ahly of Egypt coach said.
