Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, opened his goal scoring account for French league side Lille OSC with a brace.
The Nigerian forward was on for the entire duration of the game in what was his league debut for the Ligue 1 side. Lille manager, Christophe Galtier did not fail to heap praises on the club’s new recruit after his goals earned Lille a 2-1 win over Nantes on Sunday, August 11, 2019.
Last year, we saw Victor Osimhen score a lot of goals in Charleroi, a profile we liked and Luis Campos, and President Gérard Lopez allowed us to sign him…. Osimhen is a player identified by Luis Campos since last winter. With my staff, we monitored the player. He was our priority for the centre forward position. He is a good team player and a real scorer.

Osimhen, 20, got his first in the 19th minute of the Sunday afternoon encounter and his second in the 80th minute which marked a perfect start for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup highest goal scorer as he was voted man of the match. Les Dogues, who finished second behind league champions Paris Saint-Germain last season 2018/2019, will be hoping for another fine result when they travel to Amiens on Saturday, August 17, 2019 for their next league game.
