Veteran music sensation Onyeka Onwenu is set to embark on a tour across 12 African countries before the end of the year.
The Nigerian music icon is taking her music with the message of love and tolerance to 12 countries in the “One Love Africa Tour”. This is scheduled to start in August 2018 and continue till December. The tour will kick off on the 10th of August in Rwanda with a show at Serena Hotels in Kigali and continue through Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania, Liberia, South Africa, Mozambique, Benin, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Kenya till December 2018.
Onyeka Onwenu has been celebrated for her contribution to music and arts in Nigeria by organizations and individuals alike. She rose to fame in the 80s and early 90s with anthems like “One Love”, “Choices”, and “Ekwe”. She is also an actor, with at least 13 films to her credit, and was one of the three judges on the Nigerian version of The X Factor in 2013.
The tour is put together by Nigerian cultural entrepreneur Onyeka Nwelue’s Blues and Hills consultancy.
